About

Mike has worked as a broadcast and print journalist for more than a decade, covering the National Assembly in Quebec City and Parliament Hill in Ottawa. In recent years, he investigated links and partnerships between the federal government and oil industry lobbyists and fundamental changes to Canada’s environmental laws. He received a citation in 2012 as a finalist in the investigations category of the National Newspaper Awards for a series examining oil-industry funded research accounts at the University of Calgary that were used to cast doubt about climate change while launching a public relations and lobbying campaign against Canada’s participation in the Kyoto Protocol.
